Technology and the
Modern Media Center

Summer 2011

The purpose of this course is to provide prospective and current media specialists and teachers opportunities to engage in practical, hands-on applications of modern technologies. In this course, participants will work in a collaborative setting to learn about technologies they can use to engage 21st-century students.

Who: UGA Graduate Students in the School Library Media Program, Media Specialists and Support Personnel, and Teachers

What: Attend 5 days of classes one week in July11-15, M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM;
Final Project; See below for course topics.

Credit: UGA students receive 3 hours of college credit (no fee)
Inservice professionals receive 5 PLU credits (fee)
